Episdoe 62 - Sewing as a Business

First the winner of the book - 24 entries dated through the December 1st.  I used to get a number and the winner is #22 - congrats, Tasha.

I cannot figure out how to put the number generator onto the blog post, sorry.

Thanks for a wonderful year of podcasts! I learn so much from you.
Wonder if you would consider an interview with Susan the owner of the Garment Designer Software:

Have a wonderful Holiday!

I forgot! to get the picture of the random number generator screen, just do a Shift+PrtSc. That saves a screenshot of the screen in the clipboard. Open Paint or any other drawing program and do a file new and Ctrl+V. You will see the screenshot there in Paint. Then select the box selection tool and draw around the area you want to display. The edit cut or Ctrl+X. Open a new document and do Ctrl + V again or Ctrl + C to copy. Save that document and load it to blogger like any other picture. Save it as a jpg image. Hope its clear, it is easier done than explained.

I really enjoy hearing your progress on the GREAT WHITE project. I'm working to finish up a fleece vest and coordinated knit tee (something I never used to sew before I was inspired by SewForthNow!) before starting on mine, but I decided that planning my shirt in my head is part of getting started. (Gee I wish that worked for salaried work too). Listening to things your doing on this project makes me feel like I'm being a good planner too.

I have Picasa and my screenshots go right into there when I hit "print screen". In Picasa, there is a "blog this" button that goes right into Blogger. It will prompt you along the way.
Thanks also for all the great podcasts. You do a great job, Lori. Merry Christmas!

Lori, If you have Windows 7 (possibly Windows Vista), there is this wonderful tool called "Snipping Tools." This tool allows you to take a snippet of any part of the screen and immediately paste it into a program. The advantage is that you don't have to do a lot of editing with photo editing software. However, for the blog, you may have to save it as a JPG or GIF before using it in the blog. If you need any help, contact me.
